Diploma in Nursing (G.N.M)
Objective
Upon completion of this course, nurses will demonstrate proficiency in the following areas:
- Exhibit awareness and proficiency in the Nursing Process for providing comprehensive healthcare and patient nursing.
- Assess the nursing requirements of individuals, families, and communities across the lifespan, from infancy to end-of-life care.
- Develop strategic plans to address their needs, delivering competent and safe nursing interventions.
- Implement appropriate measures to support individuals in maintaining or improving their overall health and well-being.
- Collaborate effectively with healthcare team members and the community to promote health, prevent illness, restore health, and facilitate rehabilitation.
- Evaluate the efficacy of nursing and healthcare interventions to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Eligibility
General Nursing and midwife (GNM) Course – 3 Years
1. Candidates seeking admission must have completed PUC/PDC/Higher Secondary/ XII or any other equivalent examination.
2. The duration of the course is 3 years.
Admission Procedure
- The candidate will have to appear for personal interview.
- Candidates should possess good health.
- Candidates have to submit the original certificate of the qualifying examination at the time of admission, which will be returned only after the completion of the course.
- The duty filled application form should reach to the Chairman, Josco Institutions, Bangalore together with the following documents.
- Three sets of attested xerox copy of the marks list of SSLC., 10 +2 / Pre University Examination or equivalent examination, Migration Certificate, T.C & Conduct Certificate.
- The candidate should produce the eligibility certificates issued bu RGUHS, Bangalore at the time of admission. (However the college office will guide the students regarding the issue of eligibility certificate from RGUHS).
- Five recent passport size photos of the applicant (One to be certified by registers Medical officer)
d. Five self addressed envelope (6’’x4’’) with stamp Rs.25/-. - The application & prospectus can be obtained directly from the office by paying Rs. 400/- and by post Rs. 500/-.
